Swedish Health Services Clinic Nursing Supervisor-Pulmonology and Nephrology in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Clinic Nursing Supervisor (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in Access Services First Hill at Swedish Medical Group in Seattle, WA.
Responsible for planning, assigning, coordinating and controlling nursing care and services for patients. They will serve as a mentor and leader by providing support, guidance and training as needed.
In this position you will:
Assigns duties and coordinates clinical services to support excellence in overall care.
Evaluates nursing activities to ensure patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of service; addresses any issues that affect the desired patient outcomes.
Orients and mentors new staff members.
Assist in the development of nursing standards as agreed upon by the clinic administrator.
Acts as a resources and support for clinical staff and facilitate collaborative team work on the unit and with ancillary departments.
Chair the Quality Plan Committee for the clinic. Oversee the Quality Program for the clinic and ensure that all standards are met, and keep procedural manuals and other necessary equipment up to date.
Perform audits and inspections according to the Quality Plan.
Supervise diagnostic testing as required.
Triage phone calls and provide appropriate follow up.
Assist office staff to ensure scheduling of patients for procedures and testing has occurred and necessary items are in place prior to a procedure or surgery.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of accredited school of registered nursing.
3 years of recent acute care RN experience in the same or a similar unit.
Current Washington State RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN).
Preferred qualification for this position include:
Previous charge nurse experience and/or 2 years relevant leadership experience.
