Swedish Medical Center Clinical Supervisor - South Tower OR in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Clinical Supervisor (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in the South Tower Operating Room at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
South Tower is a great blend of inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures. They have 10 operating suites that generally run 0700-1730. Types of cases can include General and colorectal surgery, pain service procedures, GYN, urology, breast, plastics, brachy therapy, ENT, maxilla facial, oral surgery and eyes. They are lucky enough to have specialty charge nurses and lead surgical technologist for each service that provide support
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for coordinating patient care and nursing service activities consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
In this position you will:
Supervise the operating room clinical staff
Participate in staff development including development and maintenance of competencies, participation in the orientation process and involvement in the educational process
Work with Unit Based Staffing Committee to prepare staffing budgets
Run the OR schedule efficiently based upon needs of patient, surgeon and staff
Evaluate effectiveness of existing programs and services, and implements new services as appropriate
Required qualifications for this position include:
Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, or must attain a BSN within 5 years of hire
Current License to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Washington
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Minimum 2 years experience in the OR
Experience as a Charge Registered Nurse or Supervisor preferred
