Swedish Medical Center Construction Project Coordinator - Project Mangement in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Construction Project Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work for the Project Management team at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

The Construction Project Coordinator responsibilities include working closely with Project Managers to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, time frames and budgets for projects. Performs various coordinating tasks, scheduling, maintaining project documentation, and financial queries. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you'll collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. Ultimately, the Construction Project Coordinator's duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards.

In this position you will:

  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information

  • Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives

  • Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes

  • Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management

  • Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve

  • Assist in project budget preparation and entry into project management system

  • Analyzes risks and opportunities and addresses each to minimize and maximize respectively

  • Oversee project procurement management

  • Monitor project progress and mitigate or escalate issues as they arise

  • Act as project point of contact and generate regular project reports to keep stakeholders informed of project progress

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Ensure standards and requirements are met and align with Best Practices Support issuance of basic legal documents to vendors and providers, e.g. NTP, contracts, change orders, etc.

  • Support project closeout and the placing in service of completed projects

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications for this position include:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED.

  • Ability to read traditional 2D CAD plans or blueprints (A/S/M/E/P/C etc.)

  • High proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (charting, formulas, macros, etc.)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency or high familiarity with Internet based project management systems (e.g. e-Builder)

  • Proficiency or high familiarity with Critical Path Method scheduling software (e.g. MS-Project)

  • High comfort level with process flows and documenting via flowcharts, swimlanes, RACI charts, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Construcation Management or

  • Associate's Degree in Architecture or

  • Associate's Degree in Interior Design

  • 3 years in related fields
