Swedish Medical Center Construction Project Manager - Project Management in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Construction Project Manager (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Project Management at Swedish First Hill located in Seattle, WA.
Construction Project Manager is responsible for day to day management of capital projects located within owned and leased properties. Typical project sizes range from $25,000 and up.
In this position you will:
Responsible for providing project leadership, coordination and facilitating teamwork of project teams to meet project goals
Accountable for developing and maintaining project budgets
Responsible for working with department managers, service line directors and chief executives to develop project scopes
Responsible for developing and managing RFP's for architectural and general construction services. Review, score, interview and recommend for award
Participates in design meetings with architectural and end user teams
Review design documents for quality, ensure compliance with standards and local agency requirements
Responsible for developing infection control procedures with safety and accreditation teams. Monitor compliance of procedures during construction
Manages vendors to ensure top quality work is being performed in a timely manner to ensure good stewardship of financial resources
Accountable for clear communication with project vendors, engineering, information services, clinical engineering, accreditation, safety teams, local jurisdictions, internal project teams and senior leadership
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in construction management, architecture or business management
6 years of experience in commercial construction experience with three (3) years in a health care setting
Demonstrates Swedish Health Services’ Mission, Vision and Core Values to customers, caregivers and visitors; and provides quality services in the performance of work assignments and duties. Understands and aligns with the Core System Strategy. Sees self as a mission leader, an example and role model of always living the values
Ability to prepare a project budget
Ability to interact in a professional manner with all levels in the organization and represents the organization in a manner that reflects the mission and core values of the organization
Demonstrated ability to analyze and negotiate financial terms for architectural and construction proposals
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Washington State driver’s license and insurance
Preferred: PMP certificate is desirable
