Swedish Medical Center Decision Support Analyst - Administration in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Shared Services is looking for a Decision Support Analyst (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in Administration at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Decision Support Analyst will play a fundamental role in financial and strategic analysis and decision-making across the organization. This position will partner with medical and administrative leadership within multiple Service Lines (e.g. Cancer, Pediatrics, etc.) on a regular basis.
In this position you will:
Support the service lines with financial analysis on new physician hires, practice acquisitions, capital investment, practice improvement and other key strategic decisions
Translate clinical and financial data analyses into non-financial terms for operations management and serve as the finance liaison to key internal stakeholders
Develop the business case for large capital projects within service lines
Evaluate opportunities to improve financial performance at the corporate, regional and clinic level
Develop positive working relationships with service line and senior leaders
Become an expert with Providence’s myriad sources of clinical and financial data
Gain regular exposure to senior leadership at Swedish Medical Group, Swedish Medical Center, and Providence Health & Service
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, health administration, health information, nursing, statistics, accounting, quality management or similar discipline preferred
Highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication skills enabling you to define a problem, ask questions, lead a team to develop innovative solutions, and present your conclusions to varied stakeholders, including senior leadership
Strong technical foundation with Excel and ability to quickly learn clinical applications and budget development tools
Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical, health information or analysis position in a healthcare setting, acute care preferred
Working knowledge of healthcare organization and metrics, financial accounting and database applications
Ability to communicate effectively to determine information needs and to provide information in a meaningful and concise format.
Experience in defining problems, collecting data, and testing conclusions.
