Swedish Medical Center Diagnostic Sonographer II - Ultrasound in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Diagnostic Sonographer II (0.8 FTE, Variable Shift) to work for the Ultrasound department at Swedish Ballard in Seattle, WA.

The Diagnostic Sonographer II is responsible for performing a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts.

In this position you will:

  • Assist the radiologist during invasive procedures

  • Perform abdominal Doppler studies of the liver and liver transplants

  • Perform Nuchal Translucency studies and neonatal cranial exams

  • Make a clinical judgement of the patient's condition based on information obtained from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview and personal assessments

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound training program

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Abdomen and OB/GYN

  • Advanced specialty registration required after 1 year after hire or promotion

  • Two years' experience as a sonographer

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Understands and effectively operates all pieces of equipment utilized within the scope of this job
