Swedish Medical Center Director of Perioperative Services in Seattle, Washington


Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Director Perioperative Services to work at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.

The Director Perioperative Services leads the overall administration and management of Cherry Hill Surgical Services and is responsible for creating a culture of patient safety and establishing an environment that supports clear, effective communication between disciplines.

In this position you will:

  • Oversee perioperative departments, to include: OR, EP, IR, Pre-Op and PACUl

  • Direct standards of care that are in compliance with professional, regulatory, and community standards.

  • Continually evaluate and improve processes by removing waste in the system and increase value to the customer.

  • Create a culture of patient safety in an environment that supports clear communication between disciplines.

  • Develop budgets and provides leadership to achieve annual financial and productivity targets.

  • Pursue information that keeps operations current with practice, management, and reimbursement trends in the regional and national market implementing appropriate response to opportunities and threats.

  • Participate in setting policy and strategic planning.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing

  • Current State of Washington Registered Nursing license

  • Minimum of five years of proven leadership in developing, managing, and operating high performing surgical services

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Masters degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, or comparable field

  • Background in CVOR and/or Neuro
