Swedish Health Services Dispatcher - Workflow Systems in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Dispatcher (Per Diem (on call), Variable Shift) to work in Workflow Systems at Swedish Shared Services in Seattle, WA.
The Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling and coordinating transport services to patients and dispatching engineering staff to address facility maintenance needs in an efficient and timely manner.
In this position you will:
Develops and implements work schedules to ensure adequate coverage for anticipated volume of service. Utilizes computers, telephones, radios and pagers to coordinate delivery of services effectively.
Coordinates, schedules and dispatches Engineers and patient transporters required to meet customer needs. Works closely with requestor to assess needs including time, location and acuity to arrange for appropriate personnel and equipment. Responds to urgent requests by shifting work assignments or notifying appropriate staff.
Monitors alarm systems and initiates appropriate response. Uses various computer terminals to obtain information regarding operating status of various systems and alarm status information.
Contacts management staff for instructions or support in dealing with various problems, customer service requests, and alarms.
Strives to maintain supportive relationships with Call Center Teammates.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma/GED
Minimum of six (6) months dispatching experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Education or training in healthcare
Previous experience in high volume call center environment
