Swedish Medical Center Events Manager - Marsha Rivkin Center in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for an Events Manager (1.0 FTE, Days) to work for the Marsha Rivkin Center at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Events Manager has the primary responsibility of executing events for the Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer including the SummeRun & Walk, the Family and Friends Auction, and the Biennial Ovarian Cancer Research Symposium. This individual will be responsible for the logistics, operations, and financial management of all activities related to events to further the Rivkin Center’s mission to save lives and reduce suffering through improved treatment, early detection, and prevention of ovarian cancer .
In this position you will:
Oversees and manages all supporting event logistics including managing guests and RSVP lists, staffing, venue rental, parking, permits, catering, décor, on-site production, negotiating and finalizing contracts with vendors.
Works with marketing team to create and send all event materials including invitations, email communications, programs, and event website verbiage.
Serves as liaison between event production sub-contractors for the Family and Friends auction fundraising event. Oversees all in-kind donations and acknowledgement of in-kind procurement. Works closely with event committee organizing and attending all committee meetings.
Assist with office and administrative duties as necessary. Administrative duties include but are not limited to ordering office supplies, ordering business cards and stationery, updating phone lists/trees, voicemail management, donor acknowledgement letters, invoicing, mailings, contracts, and accounts payable.
