Swedish Medical Center is looking for an Interventional Radiology Technologist (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in the Interventional Radiology at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Interventional Radiology Technologist assists with the performance of a variety of technical procedures including but not limited to percutaneous diagnostic and interventional cardiac, vascular and radiology procedures under the direct supervision of a a physician. Participates in all daily duties necessary to perform high-quality patient care and imaging within the Interventional Radiology Department.
In this position you will:
Demonstrates functional understanding of various interventional radiology imaging equipment to include digital x-ray and computer assisted applications
Maintains ability to calibrate and perform analysis functions for vessel diameter and stenosis
Understands the set-up and operation of monitoring equipment and vital sign recording. Provides for documentation in procedure flowsheet as necessary. Assesses patient vital signs and condition as required, notifying physician of any changes
Maintains general knowledge of department medication stock and routes of administration
Demonstrates the ability to work as a cohesive team member with all technologists, nurses, and physicians in a variety of roles to include scrub tech, circulating and recording tech
Required qualifications for this position include:
Successful completion of a formal Radiologic Technologist program
Must have Radiologic Technologist registry by ARRT at the time of hire
Washington State Certified Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic license
Post primary certification in Interventional Radiology required within 2 years of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Two (2) years experience as an Interventional Technologist
