Swedish Medical Center Licensed Refrigeration Mechanic - Facility Management in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Licensed Refrigeration Mechanic to work full-time on the day shift in Facility Management at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
As a Licensed Refrigeration Mechanic Lead, you will troubleshoot, maintain and repair all built-up heating and cooling systems, including Chillers, Cooling Towers, Heat Exchangers, AHUs, pumps, motors, VAVs, Fan coils, Valves (pneumatic and DDC), VFDs, and all associated controls. Perform preventive maintenance of all equipment on site. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces thermostats, relays, sensors, pumps, valves, electric motors, fans, dampers, belts, and pulleys. Ability to perform code red drills.
In this position you will:
HVAC – Advanced knowledge of the location, use, control of and maintenance processes for chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, boilers, steam controls, VFD, VAV, CAV, pneumatic controls, induction units, and building automation systems.
Plumbing – Specifies and installs all industry standard piping, valves and fittings relative to chilled water systems, hot water heat exchangers.
Electrical – Skilled at analyzing, troubleshooting, testing and repair of the electrical components of HVAC and refrigeration equipment including Fans, motors, controls, electronics.
Technical – Able to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, shop directives, diagrams, meters, gauges, testing equipment relative to HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Adept at use and interpretation of testing equipment.
Building Automation Systems – Familiarity with automation controls and systems related to HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Able to navigate and understand basic control of JCI and Alerton BAS equipment.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Atleast 4 years experience in refrigeration / HVAC repair, or equivalent
Solid background in the use of common and sophisticated tools and systems
Licensed Refrigeration Mechanic Class A or C
Basic certification in HVAC from an accredited trade school
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
Two year trade school certificate emphasizing HVAC, electrical and building control systems
