Swedish Health Services Manager, Swedish Plastics and Aesthetics - Sci Reconstructive Surgery in Seattle, Washington
Where you work matters! Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Manager, Swedish Plastics and Aesthetics (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in Sci Reconstructive Surgery at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
This role provides management for the daily operations of the SCI Plastics and Aesthetics Clinic, along with other assigned functions. Responsible for managing all assigned clinic and support staff, developing and implementing policies, processes and procedures to improve financial performance, patient/clinic workflow and patient experience, attainment of departmental financial and productivity goals, and administration of assigned budgets. Works collaboratively with SCI physician leaders and other direct care providers to develop systems and processes that improve clinical quality while assuring patient safety, and improve provider and clinic efficiency.
In this position you will:
Work with directors, providers, peers and staff to plan and implement concepts, which promote “Best Practice” across the Swedish Cancer Institute and SMC spectrum, Maintain staff meeting schedule, Work with staff to empower participation, which supports departmental goals, In conjunction with SCI team, define ongoing development needs of program in order to meet growth needs. Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
Utilize personal skills to manage self and others to effectively achieve goals and meet timelines, able to lead, mentor, and be an active role model to departmental staff.
Work within contractual and budgetary boundaries to effectively staff department while maintaining a culture of safety, Collaborate with SCI clinical resources to complete probationary and annual evaluations and develop expectations for staff in order to reach ‘best practice.’, Responsible for hiring and orientation of new employees, performing corrective action when necessary and setting annual performance goals.
Use leadership, creativity, positive attitude, and a high level of interpersonal skills, collaborate with staff to improve quality and support clinical “Best Practice.” Work with all employees of SCI and SMC departments to utilize resources effectively, Work collaboratively with physician leaders and clinical nurse specialists to develop methods for improving quality of care.
Manage KRONOS, staff overtime and dependability, Analyze, modify and implement new concepts to achieve improvement, Maintain functionality of equipment and is responsible for physical plant oversight, Work with Director regarding budgetary process and effectively utilize resources to maintain lean fiscal practices.
Required qualifications for this position include:
7 years healthcare administrative role with demonstrated leadership qualities
Process improvement and change management models.
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or other related Health Sciences Management
