Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Mobile Mammography Technologist (Per Diem, Days) in the Mobile Breast Cancer Services at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Mobile Mammography Technologist performs a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to thediagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume mobile setting. The Mobile Mammography Technologist is responsible for producing high qualityradiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring andcomforting manner.
In this position you will:
Interact with patients,explaining procedures thoroughly and answering questions as appropriate, functioning as a patient advocate.
In conjunction with theradiologist, perform all departmental special procedures including (but notlimited to) ultrasound guided aspirations and cores, stereotactic core biopsy,galactography, and needle localizations.
Accurately produce mammographic images per protocol and analyze technical quality of films, making appropriate technical adjustments forbody size and habitus, age, and past medical history.
Attend and participate inthe marketing, promotional and educational activities of Swedish Medical Centerand the Comprehensive Breast Center.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Completion of a radiologic technology program from an accredited school
Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Current license as a Washington State Certified Radiologic Technologist - Diagnostic
Valid Washington State Driver's License and insurable driving record
Preferred Qualifications for this position include:
Current ARRT advanced certification in mammography
Minimum two years' full-time mammography experience
