Swedish Health Services Neuroscience Research Non-Clinical Fellow - Neuroscience Research in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Neuroscience Research Non-Clinical Fellow (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Neuroscience Research at Swedish Research in Seattle, WA.

This position is a one or two year research fellowship program for MD's, Ph.D.'s and other doctorate level researchers. The neuroscience research fellow is a mentored position with oversight from the fellowship director. The position is a non-clinical fellowship with a focus on research development and implementation, scientific writing and publication. The position works independently or as part of a team.

In this position you will:

  • Review and understand invasive and noninvasive neuroscience techniques

  • Successfully complete the research education requirements (e.g. Human Subject Protection Training, Conflict of Interest, Good Clinical Practices)

  • Develop and implement research concepts that relate to neuroscience diseases

  • Conduct literature search to identify advances in the area of research focus and review relevant scientific literature. Develop and maintain a current literature/information database on research topics

  • Assist with planning, refining and conducting research and database development

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Medical Doctor or a Ph.D. in the field of neurology

  • Experience in area of practice is required

  • Depending on degree and incoming fellow specific licensure may be required e.g.Visa

Preferred qualifications for this position include

  • Current Washington State medical license

  • Three (3) years experience in the field of neurosciences
