Swedish Medical Center Nurse Manager - SMG Nursing in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Nurse Manager (1.0 FTE, Days) to SMG Nursing in Seattle, WA.
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the activities, supervision, management and direction of the clinical operations of the department in accordance with organizational and department philosophy and goals. This position will assist the Director of Operations and Clinic Administrators in maintaining the highest degree of clinical and operational performance of SMG nursing department.
In this position you will:
Responsible for providing leadership to nursing staff (RN’s, MA’s, HCA’s, externs, students, etc) and function as a resource for physicians, staff and patients.
Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and nursing services, analyzing appropriate internal and external data and information to identify opportunities for improving services and patient outcomes.
Coordinate work flow and assignments to ensure the most efficient and effective use of staff and resources.
Assures quality of care by developing and interpreting nursing and clinical division's philosophies and standards of care, enforcing adherence to state board practices set requirements and to other governing agency regulations, measuring health outcomes against standards, making or recommending adjustments
Maintains nursing and clinical operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
Collaborate with the clinic leadership team and other stakeholders in order to develop, implement and evaluate programs and services
Ensures clinical staff are able to operate medical and administrative equipment by verifying preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelors Degree of Nursing from an accredited school
Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Previous charge nurse experience and/or two years relevant leadership experience
EPIC experience and in-depth knowledge of ambulatory workflows
