Swedish Health Services Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Rehab Services Ballard, WA in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for an Occupational Therapist (Per Diem, Days Shift ) to work in Inpatient Rehab Services at Swedish Ballard in Seattle, WA.
The occupational therapist (OT) delivers and supervises others in the delivery of occupational therapy services. Upon referral, the OT performs evaluations and develops individual plans of care to maximize functional outcomes, implements the plans of care, reassesses treatment results, and actively participates in discharge planning.
In this position you will:
Demonstrates complex problem solving skills in both patient care and department operations.
Performs patient assessment/reassessment.
Establishes plan of care with the patient, which is appropriate to the patient's needs and allows for informed consent or refusal.
Documentation meets regulatory requirements, departmental standards, and considers reimbursement needs
Documents on day of visit, usually at time of visit.
Carries out assigned responsibilities in a timely and complete manner, using appropriate judgment and detail
Productivity consistently meets department standards
Takes initiative to identify and resolve problems, and is pro-active in facilitating operational improvement.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate from an accredited program of Occupational Therapy
Possesses valid Washington state occupational therapy license or limited permit. In the case of a newly relocated individual, a Washington state license must be acquired under the circumstances and within the required timeframe set by the state of Washington.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN).
Valid driver’s license and vehicle registration
Insurance coverage as mandated by the State of Washington
