Swedish Medical Center Occupational Therapist -Oncology- Outpatient Rehab Services in Seattle, Washington


Swedish Medical Center is looking for an Occupational Therapist (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in Outpatient Rehab Services at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

The Occupational Therapist delivers and supervises others in the delivery of therapy services. Services are delivered within the framework of a team approach, appropriate disciplines, significant others, and the patient. These services are delivered in compliance with ethical standards, policies and procedures, national and professional standards, state practice acts for physical therapists, and current accepted state of the art practice.

In this position you will:

  • Evaluate and develop individual treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes

  • Implement treatment program

  • Reassess treatment results and discharge planning


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate from an accredited program of Occupational Therapy

  • Washington state theraplicense, interim permit, or temporary permit

  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle registration

  • Insurance coverage as mandated by the State of Washington

  • At least two years experience in outpatient rehabilitation.

Preferred Experience:

  • Strong clinical skills and dedication to oncology population are required.

  • Certification in Lymphedema and /or experience

  • Training in mindfulness, and relaxation therapies

  • Experience with patients in cancer rehabilitation.

  • Strong Myofascial/ Manual training

  • Background in exercise physiology, especially as it related to patients with chronic diseases.

The 697-bed tertiary-care center on the Swedish/First Hill campus is the flagship of the Swedish health-care system.
