Swedish Health Services Patient Services Coordinator II - Outpatient Rehab Services in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Health Services is looking for a full time Patient Services Coordinator II (1.0 FTE, Day shift) to work in Outpatient Rehab Services at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.
This position performs a variety of front office clerical and support tasks within the rehabilitation services department. Primary responsibilities include management of patient referrals, patient registration (where applicable), patient scheduling, insurance authorizations, scanning, correcting of any of the aforementioned responsibilities, and customer service activities (See primary responsibilities/competencies section). .
In this position you will:
Answers telephone and screens calls by inquiring about caller needs. Answers routine questions, confirms appointments, forwards calls to appropriate parties, refers caller to other sections of the organization and takes messages as required. Soft transfers calls to other departments and schedules patients for upcoming appointments.
Greets visitors, confirms appointments and announces to appropriate party. Screens drop-in visitors by determining purpose of visit. Confers with staff to determine appropriate handling. Uses tact and diplomacy to obtain and relay information to visitors.
Provides exceptional customer service and demonstrates caring behavior. Works closely with patients, families, visitors, physicians and staff to identify needs, answer questions, resolve problems or provide other information.
Provides a variety of clerical services including, but not limited to, typing correspondence or reports, operating copy machine, opening, sorting and distributing Interoffice and US Mail, sending or receiving faxes, maintaining files and record storage, and scanning of documents into the electronic medical record.
Orders and maintains appropriate levels of office supplies.
Required qualifications for this position include:
1 year Recent receptionist or front desk experience.
Experience with medical terminology and basic medical record processes.
Medical Terminology Certification required.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
6 months Related experience (recurring appointments).
