Swedish Health Services Patient Services Coordinator - Medical Oncology in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Patient Services Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Medical Oncology at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, Washington.

The Patient Services Coordinator is detail focused, caring, and thoughtful individual to perform reception, insurance authorization, chart preparation, telephone triaging, and co-pay collection for the Medical Oncology practice. All duties accomplished with an exceptional customer service approach to optimize the patient's experience in the Swedish Cancer Institute. Exceptional compassion, sensitivity, and emotional stability are necessary with the Oncology population.

In this position you will:

  • Answer and triage phone calls for the clinic

  • Function as an integral member of the medical oncology team, providing backup and coverage as necessary for other clerical team members

  • Train new employees in clerical office procedures

  • Order office supplies as necessary

  • Transport inpatients to the hospital when transporters are not available

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with emphasis in Health Care

  • One (1) year related experience in a healthcare setting (i.e. physician’s office, scheduler, etc.)

  • Experience with Epic
