Swedish Medical Center Periop Program Manager, Value Analysis in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Swedish Shared Services is looking for a Periop Program Manager, Value Analysis (full time) in the Perioperative department at Swedish First Hill located in Seattle, WA

This position will l ead efforts to reduce costs and improve quality through evaluating and implementing clinical resource and practice variance opportunities.

You will lead the Swedish Value Analysis Team (SVAT) working in collaboration with appropriate Swedish-level team meetings, system resource council meeting, CAT teams, clinical staff and Supply Chain Materials Management to achieve cost savings by focusing on appropriate supply standardization, utilization, and process improvements to seek high quality and cost effective products and services with maximum supply investment value.

In this position you will:

  • Work in concert with system OSCM Strategic Sourcing team members as needed to provide appropriate input and feedback on clinical viability of products.

  • Interact with key regional Swedish clinical, quality leaders and system OSCM pillar teams to serve as a resource when clinical data and information is requested.

  • Responsible for implementing and executing strategic system Value Analysis policies, procedures, and plans.

  • Directly interface with key clinicians and other clinical professionals to engage them into the value analysis process and service as a resource for them.

  • Ensure a consistent process for the clinical evaluation of all potential contracted product awards. The process will include the collaboration of supplier clinical experts with Swedish clinicians and the Director of Medical Product Analysis, Resource councils, CAT teams, regional excellence councils, etc.

  • Identify clinical resource opportunities, implements changes in supply products, and monitors ongoing savings initiatives.

  • Oversee the validation process of product viability within the region or in support of a system-wide evaluation. Interact with and support Regional Strategic Sourcing team members to provide input and feedback on clinical viability of products being considered for regional contracts.

  • Assists in the development of departmental goals, objectives, policies, procedures and standards to maintain quality cost effective supply and equipment programs throughout all Swedish Health Services perioperative environments.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Nursing degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing. Applicants without a BSN degree must actively pursue and attain a BSN within six (6) years of hire.

  • Current License to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Washington required.

  • 5 years overall nursing and/or supply chain experience.

  • 2 years collaboration and implementation experience with supply chain or value analysis with extensive knowledge of clinical products and service lines in a surgical arena.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Previous experience with product evaluation processes, product trials, or product evaluation.

  • Previous experience in project management, change management, team facilitation, benchmarking /or process improvement.
