Swedish Medical Center Perioperative Care Associate III - Orthopedic Surgery in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Perioperative Care Associate III in the Orthopedic Surgery Unit at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
This is a 1.0 FTE, day shift position.
The Perioperative Care Associate III ( PCA III), under direction, assists the surgical staff with patient care including transportation, supplies, equipment, instruments, and care of the environment. The PCA III works under guidance of the Surgical Technologist, Facilitator and RN and the direction of the Surgical Support Supervisor/Nurse Manager.
In this position you will:
Perform room turnover, maintain cleanliness of the surgical area, surgical equipment and patient transportation devices as indicated by department procedure.
Assist the surgical team with preparation of the surgical suite including opening of sterile items to the surgical field.
Assemble case carts to include printing of Procedure Lists, assembling supplies, instruments, equipment, and other necessary items to complete the case cart and delivers it to the appropriate surgical location.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school education or equivalent
One year experience performing duties as a Perioperative Care Associate II or equivalent experience in a healthcare environment
Basic computer skills
Demonstrated ability to safely operate area specific equipment
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- American Heart Association BLS certification
