Swedish Medical Center Pharmacist Lead in Seattle, Washington

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Pharmacist Lead (1.0 FTE, Evening shift) at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

We are seeking a detail focused, caring, and thoughtful individual in Pharmacy care, promoting the goals and upholding the ideals of Swedish Medical Center in providing excellent care and experience for our diverse patient population. This position works closely with the Ambulatory Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacy Oncology Manager and the Pharmacy Clinical Manager to set the operational and clinical goals for the department.

In this position you will:

  • Direct the day to day operations of the pharmacists and technicians to assure that pharmacy oncology services are operating efficiently

  • Assure that established policies for clinical programs and distributive functions are being adhered to by the staff

  • Evaluates and communicates any changes to staffing and/orpolicies and procedures that are necessary for the smooth operation of thedepartment to the appropriate pharmacy manager

  • Make contributions to the department in assigned specialtyarea as directed by pharmacy managementParticipates in quality improvement and clinical initiativesas directed by Pharmacy ManagementFunctions as a Staff Pharmacist (see Staff Pharmacist jobdescription) as needed to meet operational requirements

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy

  • Current license to practice as a registered pharmacist in the State of Washington

  • At least 2 years working as a pharmacist in an acute, or ambulatory caresetting
