Swedish Medical Center Pharmacist Resident - First Hill in Seattle, Washington
Where you work matters! Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Pharmacist Resident (1.0 FTE, Variable shifts) at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Pharmacy Practice Residency is a one-year post-graduate residency program in an institutional practice setting that provides training as set forth and approved by the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP). The resident will acquire knowledge and experience beyond the traditional academic experience, undergraduate pharmacy clerkships and general practice hospital experience .
In this position you will:
Continuously involved in the development, implementation and monitoring of departmental operations with department managers.
Function as a staff pharmacist (see Staff Pharmacist Job Description) every other weekend and as needed as deemed appropriate by the Pharmacy Directors.
Assure safe, effective, and cost-effective use of drugs on behalf of the patient through the application of specialized knowledge, skills and professional judgment while considering the patient’s disease condition(s).
Develop and maintain knowledge of age specific issues and applies that knowledge to the provision of care within the institution.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university OR PharmD
Must have completed a comprehensive clerkship and externship program as part of the pharmacy curricula.
Licensed to or eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in the State of Washington: a) State of Washington pharmacist license, b) Pharmacy Internship Board license with review of eligibility for pharmacist licensure.
