Swedish Medical Center Pharmacy Buyer in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Pharmacy Buyer (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work at the Swedish First Hill campus in Seattle, WA.
This position works closely with pharmacy staff, purchasing materials, supplies, equipment and services for hospital use, ensuring availability when required, in a cost-effective manner.
In this position you will:
Place non-stock purchase orders accurately and completely to assure delivery of items or services as required by hospital departments.
Maintain storeroom inventory for selected items and review usage statistics, adjusting minimum/maximum levels as appropriate.
Verify availability and price of items at the time the order is placed and comply with formulary purchasing controls.
Enter purchase orders into electronic order entry (EOE) system(s) accurately and completely.
Maintain purchase order file for direct orders. Follow up and expedites orders as required.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or GED
Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program within twelve (12) months of hire.
A current license to practice as a pharmacy technician in the State of Washington or license must be obtained within twelve (12) months of hire.
Two (2) years experience as a pharmacy technician in an acute care setting or as a buyer in a medical treatment facility.
