Swedish Health Services Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Pharmacy Technician (0.9 FTE, Evening Shift) in Pharmacy at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.
We are seeking someone who will be responsible for supporting the practice of pharmacy, performing delegated tasks, and performing drug distribution, compounding, record keeping, and clerical activities under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
In this position you will:
Interprets, assembles and labels prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner.
Understands the requirements for handling, distribution, inventory control and security of controlled substances and follows procedures.
Demonstrates proper infection control, hood cleaning, sterile technique, calculations and basic workflow of IV room.
Uses prepackaging equipment labels and records correctly.
Demonstrates proper technique in cleaning of the vertical flow hood and in preparations, labeling and disposal of chemotherapy.
Maintains a neat, clean and orderly work area
Required qualifications for this position include:
Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program
Current license to practice as a pharmacy technician in the State of Washington
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Six (6) months experience in hospital pharmacy
