In this position pharmacy technician will work under the
general direction of a licensed pharmacist, independently performs a variety of
Perform inpatient pharmacy drug compounding, distribution,record keeping, and clerical activities under the supervision of a registeredPharmacist.
Compounding sterile chemo/hazardous and non-hazardoussterile IV products and routine medications.
Load, refill and troubleshoot PYXIS ES P automated dispensingcabinets.
Deliver medications to nursing units, clinics, andprocedural areas. Return and credit discontinuedmedications from the units back to thepharmacy in a timely manner.
Participate in monthly outdate andunit inspection program.
Communicating conciselyand effectively with patients, families, pharmacists, and other health careproviders in a friendly and courteous manner.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program
Current license to practice as a pharmacy technician in the State of Washington
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy or infusionpharmacy with sterile IV compounding of chemotherapy and non-chemotherapymedications
