Swedish Health Services Pharmacy Technician - Specialty Pharmacy in Seattle, Washington
Description:
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Specialty Pharmacy Technician (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
We are seeking a detail focused, caring, and thoughtful individual in Pharmacy care, promoting the goals and upholding the ideals of Swedish Medical Center in providing excellent care and experience for our diverse patient population. This position is a member of a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for assuring safe, efficient, cost effective drug therapy for all patients.
In this position you will:
Assist Specialty Pharmacy operations and client services for the department including customer/patient services, management of materials, benefits coordination, and pharmacy dispensing to meet or exceed pharmacy and organization operational and financial objectives.
Coordinate with internal and external entities to optimize services, financial and operational objectives of Specialty Pharmacy related to day to day operations.
Coordinate with Pharmacy Benefits Managers (PBMs), drug manufacturers and others as needed to obtain access to specialty pharmacy medications, including financial assistance.
Maintain manual and/or automated system(s) to document clinical and administrative information related to interactions with providers, patients and payers
Other duties as assigned within the scope of pharmacy technician licensure.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program
Current license to practice as a pharmacy technician in the State of Washington
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Experience in hospital pharmacy
