Swedish Medical Center Philanthropy Director in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Shared Servicesis looking for a Philanthropy Director (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in the Swedish Medical Center Foundation at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Philanthropy Director works to secure major gifts for one or more priority Institutes or Enterprises with a primary focus on gifts of $100,000 and above. This position is responsible for growing giving at the $100,000 levels through a series of strategies designed to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective donors.
In this position you will:
Work closely with the Foundation Leadership, Foundation Board, Administrators and Physician groups to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies for increased giving at the $100,000 level.
Provide leadership and support to fundraising committees and physicians to assist in prospect identification and cultivation, training, solicitation and stewardship for corporate donors and prospects of $100,000 . Actively identifies and recruits new volunteers for development and advisory committees.
Direct and participate in the face-to-face cultivation and solicitation of $100,000 gifts, including managing a portfolio of donors, identifying, qualifying, and cultivating new prospects.
Develop a keen understanding of the assigned area and interprets complex medical information for a lay audience.
Represent the Foundation within the community by attending and actively participating in appropriate internal and external functions and events.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
Minimum five (5) years of sales or development experience
Proven track record managing successful annual or major giving programs
Experience in a major decentralized institution
Ability to interface with executive level administration, medical staff and board members
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
