Swedish Medical Center Program Coordinator - SMG Nursing in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Program Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Day) to work in Smg Nursing at the Bank of America Building in Seattle, WA.
The Program Coordinator will ensure clinical care; grievances are responded to and documented in accordance to regulatory compliance and with the Swedish Medical Group (SMG) policy for managing Patient Relations complaints, comments or concerns.
In this position you will:
Intake and document patient complaints, concerns and compliments via; email and phone throughout the day
Escalate patients concerns to Chief Nurse appropriately. Works collaboratively with billing and customer service to appropriately route patients. Work collaboratively with others toward service recovery
Supports Risk Management functions by conducting referral investigations, researching grievance requests, and trending events
Participate and attend Root cause analysis (RCA), peer review, and departmental meetings
Coordinate and prepare documents for peer review
Reports corrective measures taken to the patient or family member and promptly notifies manager of problems related to complaint resolution
Analyzing Epic reports for patient relations program
Promote the mission of Swedish externally in a positive way. Function as an ambassador for Swedish when interfacing with anyone outside the organization
Assist in creating, recommending, and implementing processes to increase and maintain patient satisfaction
Maintain supportive working relationship with the Nursing, Safety and Compliance department staff
Participate in committees associated with the Nursing Safety & Compliance department
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree is prefferred
Experience or background in healthcare clinic work, or 2yrs. related experience is preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to analyze and problem solve independently
Demonstrated commitment to high quality customer service
