Swedish Health Services Program Director Family Medicine Residency, Cherry Hill in Seattle, Washington

THE ROLE

Swedish Cherry Hill is seeking a full-time, board-certified Family Medicine Physician to lead as the Program Director for the Swedish Cherry Hill Family Medicine Residency program located in Seattle.

This influential leader must have the skills to continually develop the faculty and assure alignment with the larger Swedish Health Services mission to serve the King County community. In addition to the residency program development, the Program Director is responsible for oversight of several family medicine affiliated fellowships, collaboration with other Swedish Graduate Medical Education programs.

The Director will serve on the Swedish Medical Group Executive Leadership Team as a representative of the Graduate Medical Education Section. Qualifications:

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three to five years of faculty experience and/or leadership experience required

  • Ideal candidate will lead the program and develop a strategy and vision for training graduates ready for practice in healthcare's future state

  • Must be passionate about teaching multi-disciplinary learners, as well as assisting in developing these skills

  • Previous experience starting a program and introducing innovative, robust curriculums a plus

  • Director ensures program meets all requirements for maintaining ACGME accreditation, assuring that graduates will succeed in meeting ACGME core competency requirements

The building now known as James Tower was home to the first hospital in Seattle, established in 1877 by the Sisters of Providence.
