Swedish Medical Center Program Manager - Primary Care Administration in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Program Manager (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Primary Care Administration located at the Bank of America Building in Seattle, WA.

The Program Manager Work with the Medical Director and Director of Operations for Primary Care-West Region to prepare and recommend clinic and associated programs' budgets, goals, and objectives; ensure clinic and program compliance with policies & procedures including recording of community benefit services & costs; managing attainment of financial performance targets & accreditation standards; analyzing operations, financial and clinical outcomes; making recommendations and implementing programs to improve customer service; handling customer complaints; mentoring and managing support staff; and participating in developing strategic plans at the clinic and program level as well as organizational level .

In this position, you will:

  • Understand, support, and implement the mission of SMG to deliver health care to those in need in the performance of all job responsibilities. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including the recording of community benefit services and costs

  • With Clinic Medical Director, prepare and recommend clinic and program budgets, goals, and objectives taking into consideration input from clinic staff

  • Plan and develop clinic implementation of SMG policies and procedures, as well as clinic/program-specific procedures and programs. These may include: marketing, infection control, and billing procedures

  • Supervise staff, including department supervisors and operations coordinators, providing selection, training, disciplining, terminating, and performance improvement. Mentor staff on issues arising from day-to-day operations

  • Coordinate clinic and program operations and activities with the Clinic Medical Director to ensure efficiency and quality service is delivered within all sections of the program

  • Hold regular staff meetings to discuss methods for improving customer service and efficient/safe operations. Inform staff members of any changes to policies or procedures

  • Perform special clinic, program and network-wide projects to promote public and community health

  • Participate with other departments in planning and providing community benefit services

  • Serve on Program Management Committee

  • Participate on SMG committees related to clinic and network-wide operational development and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in the Health related field required

  • 3 years of increasing responsibility in a hospital or ambulatory clinic setting required

  • 3 years of supervisory or management experience required

Preferred qualifications for this position include

  • Master's Degree preferred
