Swedish Medical Center Radiation Therapist I in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Radiation Therapist (Per Diem), Days) to work for Radiation Oncology at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for utilizing his/her technical abilities to simulate and/or deliver a course of radiation therapy as prescribed by a radiation oncologist.
In this position you will:
Deliver a planned course of radiation therapy.
Maintain daily records and document technical details of the treatment administered in Mosaiq.
Observe the clinical progress of patients undergoing radiation therapy, recognizing the first signs of any complication, and determines when treatment should be withheld until a physician may be consulted.
Detect equipment malfunctions and report to the proper authority. Know the safe limits of equipment operation.
Utilize appropriate marking techniques on the patient’s skin, or immobilization device, to delineate the treatment isocenter, field borders and/or CT marks used as shift reference points.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Must be a graduate of a radiation therapy technology program, accredited by the Joint Review Committee in Radiologic Technology.
State of Washington, Department of Health, Certified Radiological Technologist – Therapeutic.
Registered by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Certified in Radiation Therapy.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Previous experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred but not required.
