Swedish Medical Center Research Coordinator I - Clinical Trials Research in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Research Coordinator I (1.0 FTE, Evening shift) to work in Clinical Trials Research at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA. Schedule: 3PM-11:30 PM.
The Research Coordinator I coordinates research supporting our perinatal bio-repository and surgical studies. This position will be a part of a team working on a federally funded surgical outcomes study and several foundation funded perinatal research projects. This position will also support investigator initiated research in urological surgery. Experience with electronic medical records, databases and record abstraction an asset. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and with a high level of autonomy.
In this position you will:
Explain research studies to patients and obtain informed consent. Help collect and process research specimens – blood, urine and tissue. Administer study questionnaires and collect health information from participants.
Abstract clinical data from the medical record for research evaluation
Assist in the preparation of scientific manuscripts and presentations
Participates in quality control activities
Work with an experienced team of coordinators and nurses supporting important research in a wide variety of clinical areas.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Science, Healthcare, or related field. Significant experience in research coordination can be substituted for education
Minimum one year of experience in related field
Basic knowledge of FDA research policies
Familiar with research protocols and standard study requirements
