Swedish Health Services Respiratory Care Practitioner ,Lead - Respiratory Therapy in Seattle, Washington

Swedish Medical center is looking for a Respiratory Care Practitioner, Lead (0.9 FTE, Night Shift) to work in Respiratory Therapt Department at Swedish Ballard in Seattle, WA.
This position sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be used in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness. May work with adult, pediatric and neonatal patient populations.
In this position you will:
Explain purpose and procedure of treatments, tests, and equipment to the patient.
Complete required Epic documentation, billing, scheduling and scanning as applicable.
Give clear, informative report to relief personnel.
Adhere to departmental standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
Assess patients for appropriateness of therapy utilizing quality management guidelines and protocols. Contacts managing LIP and documents on flowsheet, progress note, and plan of care suggestions for therapy as indicated.
Perform LIP prescribed treatments outlined in the scope of services in departmental structure standards.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Must have completed Respiratory Care’s department orientation.
Must be a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner with the Washington State Department of Health under Chapter 18.89 RCW
Must be registry eligible with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
New graduates qualify for temporary practice if they have complied with the Washington State Department of Health WAC 246-928-530
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an AMA approved respiratory care program.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
Active member of the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC)
Six months to one-year previous hospital based work experience, in the field of Respiratory Care .
