Swedish Health Services Revenue Specialist Senior - Perioperative Administration in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Revenue Specialist Senior (1.0 FTE, DayShift) to work in Perioperative Administration at Swedish Shared Services in Seattle, WA.

The Senior Revenue Specialist provides management, support and maintenance to revenue reporting and revenue capture processes; including leadership support to Revenue Specialists across the Swedish Health System enterprise. This includes managing all elements of post procedural case log documentation review and charge entry, system maintenance and audits; report creation and distribution; table development and maintenance; revenue reconciliation; spreadsheet and database creation and management, and management of SharePoint Team sites tools. This position also provides support to the activities of the Revenue Analysts and revenue generating departments.

In this position you will:

  • Manages all elements of Epic / OpTime and other Epic procedural documentation platforms, including implant charge entry, log documentation audits, and comparison analysis. Assure data integrity by performing audits; Maintain revenue service tables.

  • Manages EPIC / OpTime system enhancements that effect revenue reporting/capture. 1) Represent department in meetings involving revenue capture or related topics; 2) Review and test software enhancements to verify functionality; 3) identify and communicate results to effected departments as appropriate; 4) Make recommendations based on results and feedback.

  • Provides leadership for change processes. 1) Analyze impact of proposed system enhancements; 2) Develop implementation strategy and recommendations; 3) Provide feedback of impact to IFC Director and Revenue Analysts; 4) Coordinate implementation with affected department’s management – HIS, PFS, TrendStar, GL, Accounting and IS as appropriate; 5) Assemble necessary resources for implementation; 6) Document and distribute results; 7) Assist with additional training as needed.

  • Performs troubleshooting services (problem solve issues). 1) Perform as initial contact point for report content issues; 2) Troubleshoot report discrepancy issues for financial tracking and service departments; 3) Assist departments with charge/credit entry and patient account issues; 4) review and forward requests for changes; 5) Provide knowledge-based information concerning ChargeMaster; 6) Act as liaison between HIS, PFS, Accounting, IS, and Decision Support departments.

  • Manages Revenue Reconciliation: 1) Monitor and record daily revenue activity reports for assigned facilities; 2) Identify and reconcile errors.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Associates's Degree in Healthcare, Applied Sciences, Business Management or similar field

  • Medical Terminology Course (may be done as part of academic degree)

  • Five (5) years general work experience, preferably office, in finance or healthcare related

  • Experience working with electronic medical record systems

  • Previous leadership experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Applied Sciences, Business Management or similar field.

  • EPIC EMR experience

  • Experience with report generation in Infoview/Clarity
