Swedish Health Services RN Clinical Competency - Clinical Education And Safety in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Clinical Competency Registered Nurse (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Clinical Education And Safety at Swedish Medical Group in Seattle, WA.
The Clinical Competency RN is responsible for ensuring that training and competency measurements are implemented so that care is provided in accordance with ambulatory care policies and procedures, established standards of nursing care and practice, and state and federal regulations. Acts as a leader to ensure the mission and goals of the organization are met.
In this position you will:
Administer Medical Assistant training and regular competency testing
Develop, organize and direct the training and continuing education of clinical support staff
Assist in hiring new employees and coordinating subsequent training and orientation programs
Ensure that clinics and care are in compliance with all state and regulatory agencies; communicate appropriate action to correct or enhance care when warranted
Communicate revisions and/or new information to clinic personnel in a timely manner.
Ensure that Infection Control/Exposure Plans are understood and followed by staff
Ensure that clinical policies and procedures are formulated, standardized and distributed to all clinics
Ensure that clinics and care are in compliance with all state and regulatory agencies; initiate appropriate action to correct or enhance care when warranted
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Current Washington State RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN).
3 years progressively more responsible related work experience, with at least two years outpatient clinic experience preferred.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Advanced degree in Nursing or Business/Health Administration
Teaching degree or equivalent
Outpatient clinic experience
