Swedish Health Services RN Program Manager in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Group is looking for an RN Program Manager (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Center for Advance Brain Tumor Department at Swedish Medical Group in Seattle, WA.
Working under the direction of the SNI Director of Operations and the Medical Director for the Center for Advanced Brain Tumor, the RN Program Manager is responsible for the oversight and operations for the Center for Advanced Brain Tumor Clinic. This includes the pre-clinic phone calls to patients, charting clinical summaries and FRS-R scores prior to clinic, discussing patients with the rest of the staff in the pre-clinic huddle, ensuring the general flow and coordination of care and facilitating completion of orders generated in clinic, attending the past-clinic care conference, and sending out summary letters to patients after clinic.
In this position you will:
Use the nursing process to assess, diagnosis, plan, implement, and evaluate for patients with neurological illnesses.
Collaborate with the Neurologist and sub-specialty team to facilitate and coordinate services, supplies, and equipment needed by patient and family. This includes involving family, as needed, in team meetings, planning and coordination of care, education, and identification of resources needed to develop realistic expectations of the chronic neurologic care,
Provide appropriate short-term counseling for patients and families whose psychosocial situation demonstrates the need for intervention
Triages telephone calls and messages, systematically investigating and assessing patient needs determining whether and when patients require appointments, as appropriate, considering age-appropriateness
Assists patients and families to identify needs for the hospital stay, discharge, and follow-up care
Identifies and assists physician and other personnel in stabilizing, treating and/or triaging patients who may need a higher level of care.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Current active Washington State Registered Nursing license
Must have valid Washington State Driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master's Degree in Nursing
