Swedish Health Services Scheduler - Medical Imaging Administration in Seattle, Washington


Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Scheduler (1.0 FTE, DayShift) to work in Medical Imaging at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.

The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling outpatient imaging services including: CT; MRI; Ultrasound; Nuclear Medicine; Radiology and Interventional Radiology. Expected to creatively manipulate schedules to allow for optimal technologist/room/radiologist productivity - revenue generation.

In this position you will:

  • Based on working knowledge of exams and patient preparation for same, schedules appointments for the following departments: CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Radiology, and coordinate with the Heart Center schedulers for Interventional Radiologist time on US and CT Biopsies.

  • Coordinates Imaging Services exams with other hospital departments and physician offices, and prepares daily schedule for distribution.

  • Coordinates interpreters for patients.

  • Follows up on patient orders/referrals to facilitate making the correct appointment.

  • Keeps abreast of changing exam protocols for each department.

  • Working knowledge of EPIC and all scheduling functions. Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word, and Swedish On-line.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Coursework/Training in Medical Terminology.

  • 1 year medical clerical experience.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Associates Degree or completion of two year vocational program with emphasis on medical services

  • 1 year medical scheduling experience with a radiology focus.
