Swedish Medical Center Scheduler - Medical Imaging in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Scheduler (Per Diem, Days) to work in the Medical Imaging at Swedish Ballard in Seattle, WA.
The Scheduler provides a wide range of routine to moderately complex support tasks for medical imaging along with prioritizing multiple tasks during high volumes.
In this position you will:
Schedule outpatient imaging services for CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Radiology
Schedule all imaging services that are generated through the emergency department
Understand optimal patient flow, imaging procedures and knowledge of laboratory testing and patient history requirements for imaging procedures
Obtain physician orders and insurance verification and/or pre-authorization prior to the completion of imaging procedures
Register patients, collect payments, prepare medical records, assist with billing, fulfill medical records request, and print electronic imaging files
Answer multiple phone lines; triage multiple situations with patients and physicians serve as the liaison for the imaging department
Required qualifications for this position include:
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Associate degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school with emphasis in healthcare, or six months to one year related experience and/or training in health care related field
Medical Terminology Certification or successful completion of a Medical Terminology course within six months from date of hire
Previous Medical imaging experience
One year related experience in a healthcare setting
