Swedish Medical Center Senior Administrative Assistant - Administration in Seattle, Washington


Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Senior Administrative Assistant (1.0 FTE, Days) in the Administration Department in Seattle, WA.

The Senior Administrative Assistant plays a vital role providing confidential administrative support to one or more Swedish Medical Group (SMG) managers and/or directors.

In this position you will:

  • Professionally represent Swedish Medical Group (SMG) in a positive and friendly manner. Engage with a variety of contacts inside and outside SMG in order to obtain or relay information. Review and screen visitors and telephone calls; respond appropriately to all inquiries.

  • Manage the manager's or director's calendar as requested, coordinating and scheduling meetings, conferences, interviews and appointments as necessary. Staff and record minutes at various meeting as assigned.

  • Receive and process communications such as correspondence, reports and memoranda. Ensure all forms of written communications are accurately prepared and distributed in a timely manner.

  • Prepare payroll for manager or director approval.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school

  • Minimum three (3) years work experience with progressive responsibilities

  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written communication skills to proof, edit and draft non-routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to perform semi-complex calculations, monitor budgets and develop and oversee maintenance of record keeping and filing systems

  • Ability to utilize complex computer programs and platforms

  • Ability to be flexible and effectively re-prioritize by changing schedules and deadlines

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school
