Swedish Health Services Senior Manager Centralized Services in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Senior Manager Centralized Services (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Swedish Centralized Services at Swedish Medical Group in Seattle, WA.
Senior Manager of Centralized Services is accountable for centralized staffing resources and business support services for SMG. Responsibilities include operational leadership and accountability for the centralized staffing function and centralized business support functions. Directs the business and management services for assigned departments and staff. Responsible for oversight of centralized business support activities to include health information management, prior authorization, referral coordination, and other non-clinical functions. Ensuring quality staffing coverage to support centralized operations during vacations and vacancy. Plans, organizes, manages, and directs project and program management activities in support of SMG strategies and initiatives. Participates with senior leadership in formulating, administering and evaluating strategy and policy. Represents SMG on regional committees. Supports the mission and core values of Providence Health & Services through responsible and effective work performance.
In this position you will:
Ensure efficient processes and procedures to support centralized services
Manages the program manager(s) / Supervisors/ support staff in day to day operations
Establishes and maintains procedures, processes and systems to ensure the accuracy of workflows to achieve successful prior authorizations, indexing, and supported specialty specific needs.
Assists SMG leadership in developing centralized services growth plans
Lead process improvement activities to achieve Operational Excellence.
Develops, monitors, measures, and reports key metrics and information to clinic leaders. Ensures appropriate, efficient dissemination of information.
Coordinates the offloading of localized services from Primary Care and Specialty departments to Centralized Resources
Oversee fiscal and budgetary guidelines and standards
Ensures financial standards are achieved and meet established productivity targets
Create, recommend and implement new programs and services to increase and maintain patient volumes and satisfaction
Oversees centralized services budgets
Manages annual budget
Addresses concerns of budget in a prompt manner, escalating to leadership and advocating for more resources when appropriate
Promote high levels of patient, caregiver and provider satisfaction
Ensure ongoing staff recruitment and retention
Proactively address concerns to promote and maintain a high level of satisfaction with staff and supported clinical departments
Addresses HR issues in a prompt and appropriate manner
Promotes quality and safety
Participate in unit/department performance improvement activities to ensure the development and implementation of processes that support quality patient care and effective work performance.
Participate in all mandatory staff meetings and in services and training programs to ensure continued understanding of all departmental policies, procedures and performance improvement processes.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field - OR- equivalent education/experience
5 years experience in a health care business related field
3 years recent management or leadership experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Coursework/Training in Project Management Professional (PMP)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
