Swedish Medical Center Senior Manager Clinical and Medical Imaging Engineering in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Swedish is looking fora Senior Manager Clinical and Medical Imaging Engineering (1.0 FTE, Variable)in Clinical Engineering at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

The

Senior Manager of Clinical and Medical Imaging Engineering is responsible for

providing leadership, vision, and a working environment that promotes teamwork

and customer satisfaction, and for ensuring that the standards of service are

met for the Clinical and Medical Imaging Engineering team in a manner

consistent with SMC's mission and values.

In this position youwill:

  • Performand maintain currency of essential competencies as required by specific area ofhire, regulatory requirements and populations served.

  • Prepareand maintain departmental budgets and oversees repair budgets of thedepartment.

  • Review,evaluate, and report on the quantity, quality, and effectiveness of departmentpersonnel.

  • Overseemaintenance of department records including equipment master files, inventorylistings, and equipment maintenance histories.

  • Managevendor service quality assurance program consisting of: verifying quality ofvendor service, auditing field service reports for completion and accuracy,auditing vendor invoices for accuracy, approving vendor invoices for payment.

  • Develop,evaluate, and report on quantity, quality, and effectiveness of departmentalservice programs and services.

  • Overseeservice contract evaluation, purchase, and renewal.Includes directing / participating incontract negotiation.

  • Writetechnical specifications for capital equipment purchase and participates inpurchase negotiation. Represents departmental services in the constructionphase as well.

  • Overseepre-employment interviews and hiring process for qualified personnel.

  • Serveas a positive and creative role model and holds self and others accountable forhigh quality service standards and performance.

  • Facilitatestaff training schedules to maximize in-house service capabilities.

  • Assistin assuring compliance with local, state, federal and regulatory standards.

  • Completeperformance evaluations for staff within required time frames.

  • Effectivelyutilize software technology to manage workflow.

  • Establishagendas and maintain monthly staff meetings to promote effective communicationof issues or problems.

  • Communicatewith both internal and external key stakeholders in a positive and constructivemanner.

  • Workwith other Enterprise disciplines to achieve organizational goals.

  • Facilitateand manages retail and shared services.

Qualifications:

Required qualificationsfor this position include:

  • Bachelor'sDegree (Applicants without a Bachelor's Degree must actively pursue and attaina degree within five years)

  • 7years Clinical or medical imaging equipment service, with 3 years progressivelymore responsible experience in a management or supervisory capacity.

  • Excellentleadership, organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.

  • Abilityto work with a wide range of staff from many different disciplines.

  • Performsmanagerial and/or technical tasks under conditions of stress and frequentinterruptions.

Preferredqualifications for this position include:

  • Priorcapital acquisition planning and purchase recommended.

  • Master's Degree
