Swedish Medical Center Sleep Technologist Registered - Sleep Lab in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Sleep Technologist Registered (0.75 FTE, Nights) to work for the Sleep Lab Department at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Sleep Technologist is responsible for performing comprehensive adult and pediatric polysomnographic testing, analysis, patient care and education, and associated interventions including diagnostic and therapeutic services such as CPAP, Bi-level, ASV, and O2 titration, under the general oversight of the Lab Supervisor, Manager, Director, or designee.
In this position you will:
Gather and analyze patient information: verifies medical order and protocol; complete and verify documentation; and orient patient and explain procedures; use excellent judgment in interpreting and clarifying orders; assess risks and intervenes appropriately.
Calibrate recording equipment and prepare ancillary equipment; apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted standards; fit therapeutic masks; perform physiological calibrations and ensures proper and expected signals; be able to troubleshoot problems independently.
Score sleep/wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines; scores clinical events according to current guidelines; generate an accurate report by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event; process information post-test; completes shift-end report as needed.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school education
Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree
