Swedish Health Services Speech Language Pathologist - Inpatient Speech Therapy in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist (0.75 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Inpatient Speech Therapy at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.
The speech-language pathologist (SLP) delivers and supervises others in the delivery of services in the areas of communication, cognition and swallowing. The primary population at Cherry Hill campus are adults with complex neurological diagnoses and complex cardiac diagnoses. Swedish Cherry Hill is home to the Inpatient Rehabilitation Program with 30 beds and we are certified as a Gold comprehensive stroke program. Services are delivered within the framework of a team approach, appropriate disciplines, significant others and the patient. These services are delivered in compliance with ethical standards, policy and procedures, national and professional standards, state practice acts for physical therapists, and current accepted state of the art practice.
In this position you will:
Evaluate and develop individual treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes
Implement treatment program
Reassess treatment results and discharge planning
Complete and analyze Video Fluoroscopic Studies
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Speech/language pathology from an accredited program.
Valid Washington state speech-language pathology license or interim permit
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN )
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experiences with FEES is a plus
