Swedish Medical Center Stewardship Officer Foundation Management General Administration in Seattle, Washington


Swedish Medical Center Foundation is looking for a Stewardship Officer (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to First Hill in Seattle, WA.

The Stewardship Officer is responsible for establishing a comprehensive donor-centered stewardship program and consistent protocols across the Foundation for acknowledging, recognizing, celebrating and communicating with donors about the impact of their investment in Swedish. In accordance with the overall Foundation communications plan, will provide expert advice, guidance and service to fundraisers across the Foundation.

In this position you will:

  • Contribute to development of the Foundation's annual stewardship program

  • Work with philanthropy officers and stewardship team to develop and implement stewardship strategies that strengthen long-term relationships with major donors and ensure that donors are being communicated with on the impact of their gifts to Swedish

  • Work with stewardship team to develop stewardship plans for donors and ensure that donors are being communicated with on the impact of their gifts to Swedish

  • Interact with executive team, physician and nursing leadership to acknowledge support from Founders Circle/Stellar Club members and their families

  • Manage the updating and maintenance of the donor wall annually

  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop the annual report to donors, as well as scheduling and writing of impact reports

  • Ensure all donors are reported to annually in the most appropriate way, determined by donor and gift


Required qualifications for this position are:

  • Baccalaureate degree required

  • 10 years or more of job related experience of progressive complexity in a development setting

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)

  • Ability to author, edit and write moderate to highly complex reports and correspondence to a specific or wide audience

Preferred qualifications for this position are:

  • Healthcare experience

  • Familiarity with Raiser's Edge
