Swedish Health Services Supervisor Cash Reconciliation - Billing Office in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Swedish Shared Services is looking for a Supervisor Cash Reconciliation (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Billing Office at Swedish Shared Services in Seattle, WA.

The Supervisor leads and manages a team of skilled resources responsible for assuring daily cash reconciliation including all escalated reconciliation and missing remit processes. Supervise the cash reconciliation team to ensure missing ACH deposits, ERAs are resolved within agreed KPIs. Identify and escalate clearinghouse and other transmission issues impacting delivery of materials to support cash reconciliation and allocation processes. Monitor any issues with bank transmissions that may require follow up and ensure this occurs until resolution. Partner with treasury and reimbursement and accounting or finance on GL code mapping and clearing account requirements. Supervise team providing leadership to ensure a highly sustainably engaged team is in place, with ongoing review of productivity and staffing needs, coaching and guidance, ensuring daily huddles are in place for team collaboration and achievement of work goals, ensuring 1:1's occur to support team members and provide coaching and development as needed, ensuring regular all hands meetings occur for transparent and consistent communication. Ensure talent is identified, hired, and trained and that the new hire and onboarding process is completed in a way that fosters success and caregiver experience. Ensure performance goals are set and monitored and regular communication about performance and development occurs.

In this position you will:

  • The Supervisor leads and manages a team of skilled resources responsible for assuring daily cash reconciliation including all escalated reconciliation and missing remit processes.

  • Identify and escalate clearinghouse and other transmission issues impacting delivery of materials to support cash reconciliation and allocation processes. This includes:Review, investigate and reconcile deposits and supporting documentation to enable cash posting and resolution of complex cash posting issues.Investigate, research, and resolve outstanding deposits, reaching out to payers, specialist teams outside of revenue cycle, as well as finance, accounting and Treasury.Partnering with finance, reimbursement, accounting, and treasury on GL mapping issues to identify correct treatment for cash in clearing accounts.Identify, escalate, and partner on resolutions for clearing account transmission issues to ensure documentation is provided to resolve unposted deposits.Manage and maintain remittance work queues, to ensure supporting information flows timely, and to identify complex matters requiring resolution or escalation.GL account knowledge and accountingComplex credit (or cash posting) transaction.Participate in month end closing.Mentoring team.

  • Identify emerging trends and recommend changes for continuous process improvement and excellence.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent educ/experience

  • 6 years Experience in revenue cycle, healthcare, banking or finance, or cash applications in a healthcare system or large financial services organization.

  • 4 years Leadership experience.

  • A track record showing good decision-making skills based upon a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgment.

Preferred qualification for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Healthcare.

  • 2 years Epic Healthcare Systems experience.
