Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Supervisor Clinical Nutrition (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in Diabetes Education Center at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

Supervise the nutrition staff of the Bariatric Metabolic Endocrine Center (BMEC), including Registered Dietitians (RD), RD/Certified Diabetic Educators, and RN/CDEs . Monitors productivity of caregivers. Maintains provider schedules, along with vacation and sick coverage. Analyzes financials and monitors in relation to budget and provides plans for financial improvements and/or corrections according to the budget. May also fulfill the role of the Diabetes Education Coordinator which includes and not limited to; Oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the service at all sites .
In this position you will:
Supervise programs for appropriate clinical nutrition and diabetes care of patients.
Maintain current Diet Manual and practice guidelines for nutrition care.
Interview, hire, and evaluate performance using competency-based criteria, and recommend changes in status of employees supervised in accordance with established human resource standards. Maintain accurate employee records, job schedules, and job descriptions.
Establish staffing and scheduling pattern. Schedule and assign staff to meet anticipated workload. Adjust staffing assignments to meet changes. Approve vacation and other leave requests.
Assist in the development of department standards, policies, protocols and procedures, and department goals.
Required qualifications for this position include :
Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition or Dietetics
Certified Dietitian in Washington State
Certified Diabetes Educator certificate
5 years experience in nutrition services as a full-time registered dietitian
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Food & Nutrition or Dietetics
2 years experience in clinical leadership or supervisory role
