Swedish Health Services Supervisor of Plant Engineering Services in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Supervisor of Plant Engineering Services (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Facility Management at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

The Supervisor of Plant Engineering Services is responsible for providing leadership, vision, and a working environment that promotes teamwork and customer satisfaction, and for ensuring that the standards of service are met in a manner consistent with SMC’s mission and values.

In this position you will:

  • Understands the needs of the Engineering Service’s customer and continuously assesses the service needs of the customer related to the position’s area of responsibility

  • Ensures the existence of processes, systems and tools for the Engineering Service’s team that support customer and Swedish Health System needs

  • Routinely reviews and formally reports on the Engineering Service’s performance against key indicators and takes necessary action to improve outcomes

  • Routinely assesses the relevance, importance, and meaning of key indicators and when necessary, develops alternative indicators.

  • Demonstrates a high level of skill and understanding of computerized systems and software utilized in P.M.ing equipment and work order management as well as software used in management and communication.

  • Resolves issues by logically investigating and analyzing symptoms to accurately identify problems on a system level.

  • Demonstrates good organizational skills by the appropriate organization of Engineering Services information and data and its use in supporting the Engineering service process

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Must have completed a broad range of formal, specialized training courses pertaining to plant operations and maintenance function

  • Must have at least ten years of plant operations and maintenance experience with at least three of those years in a management position

  • Must have experience with most utility and life safety systems

  • Must have at least three years of experience in the development, implementation and monitoring of computer-based preventive maintenance programss

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
