Swedish Medical Center Supervisor, Patient Financial Services - Bariatric Surgery and Non-Surgical Weight Loss Services in Seattle, Washington

Swedish is looking for a Supervisor, Patient Financial Services (1.0 FTE, Days) to work for Bariatric Surgery and Non-Surgical Weight Loss Services at First Hill in Seattle, WA.

Responsible for the supervision and coordination of all clerical and financial staff. Oversees all insurance verification and pre-authorization submissions, and ensures that they are done in a timely and accurate manner with the appropriate follow-up.

In this position you will:

  • Supervise and coordinate all clerical and financial staff

  • Oversee insurance verification and pre-authorization submissions

  • Serve as a resource regarding insurance benefits for services provided through the Center

  • Work with management to resolve problems impacting patient access

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field

  • Seven plus years’ experience in admissions, patient billing and revenue cycle

  • Extensive knowledge of hospital organization and policies as they pertain to admissions, registration, billing and collections

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Previous supervisory experience in a similar setting is preferred
