Swedish Health Services Wound Care Specialist - Wound Healing Center in Seattle, Washington


Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Wound Care Specialist (Per Diem, DAY SHIFT) to work in the Wound Healing Center at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.

The woundcare specialist assumes responsibility and accountability for evaluation and management of woundcare treatment plans in collaboration with the wound center physicians.Quality patient care provided by the woundcare specialist is in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

In this position you will:

  • History and physical, including system review, medication review, nutritional review, lab test review, and vital signs.

  • Individualized treatment plans for vascular (arterial/venous), pressure, neuropathic, and surgical wounds.

  • Accurately modifies wound care treatment plans when indicated.

  • Accurately submits charges for wound care treatments and supplies on date of service.

  • Appropriately removes and applies wound dressings.


Required qualifications in this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Physical Therapy

  • RN or PT in the State of Washington

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN)

  • Woundcare experience

Preferred qualifications in this position include:

  • Recent continuing medical education (CME) in related woundcare

  • WOCN, Woundcare, or Debridement

  • Woundcare experience with multidisciplinary team

  • Experience performing sharp debridement
